1. Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

2. Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

3. What Personal Data We Collect and Why

When you place an order, submit an enquiry form, contact us via WhatsApp, or create an account on autocount.promo, we may collect the following personal data: your name, email address, phone number, business name, billing address, shipping address, and company registration number. This data is collected to process your orders for AutoCount software, plugins, and services, provide AutoCount technical support and installation services, register AutoCount software licences on your behalf with AutoCount Accounting Sdn Bhd, send order confirmations, invoices, and service updates, and respond to your enquiries and support requests. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Cookies

When you log in to autocount.promo, we set cookies to save your login information and display preferences. Login cookies last for two days. Screen options cookies last for one year. If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out, the login cookies will be removed. We also use cookies to maintain your WooCommerce shopping cart session. Additionally, autocount.promo uses Google Analytics cookies to analyse website traffic and improve our services. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, but this may affect your shopping and browsing experience.

5. Third-Party Services

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We do not store credit card or banking details on our servers. All payment transactions are processed through secure third-party payment gateways.

6. How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely for moderation purposes. For users who register on our website, we store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time except their username. For customers who purchase AutoCount software or services, we retain order records, licence information, and service history for as long as necessary to fulfil ongoing support obligations and comply with Malaysian tax and business regulations.

7. What Rights You Have Over Your Data

Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia, you have the right to access your personal data held by autocount.promo, request correction of any inaccurate personal data, withdraw your consent for data processing, and request deletion of your personal data where applicable. If you have an account on this site or have made a purchase, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you, excluding any data we are required to keep for legal, tax, or administrative purposes.
